2006年全市科技经费投入31.02亿，一大批科技成果获得突破性进展，许多科技产品形成品牌。至2006年底，全市已有国家级高新技术产业基地2个，省级高新技术产业基地5个，全市专利授权3816件，企业技术产品获中国名牌32个，省级名牌104个。

     In 2006, the city appropriated 3.102 billion yuan for the scientific and technological expenditure, with a number of scientific and technological results making a breakthrough and many scientific and technological products awarded the famous-brand names. Till the end of 2006, it had set up 2 state-designated and 5 provincial-designated new and high technology industrial bases. 3,816 patents were awarded in the city and 104 provincial-designated famous-brand names given to the technological products.
